Crockpot Christmas Crack

Crockpot Christmas Crack Recipe
This classic Christmas candy is made right in your slow cooker with just a handful of ingredients. It’s creamy, crunchy, chocolatey, and perfect for holiday parties, gifts, or snacking by the fireplace.
Ingredients
- 16 oz salted peanuts (for crunch and saltiness)
- 16 oz unsalted peanuts (balances out the salt)
- 2 bags (12 oz each) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 bags (10 oz each) peanut butter chips
- 2 bags (10 oz each) white chocolate chips or almond bark/wafers
- Christmas sprinkles (for decoration and festive flair)
Optional Add-ins:
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- 1 cup dried cranberries or cherries
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crockpot
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper or set out mini cupcake liners on trays.
- Lightly spray the inside of your crockpot with nonstick spray (optional, but helps cleanup).
Step 2: Layer the Ingredients
- Add salted and unsalted peanuts to the bottom of the crockpot. Stir to combine.
- Layer semi-sweet chocolate chips on top of the peanuts.
- Add the peanut butter chips next.
- Finally, place the white chocolate chips/wafers on top.
Don’t stir yet—the layering helps prevent burning.
Step 3: Slow Cook
- Cover with the lid and cook on LOW for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, remove the lid and stir everything thoroughly until smooth and creamy.
Step 4: Finish Cooking
- Place the lid back on and cook for an additional 30 minutes on LOW.
- Stir one last time to ensure everything is fully melted and combined.
Step 5: Shape the Candy
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment paper or into cupcake liners.
- Immediately top with Christmas sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
Step 6: Let It Harden
- Allow the candies to sit at room temperature until fully hardened, or place in the fridge for faster setting.
Serving & Storing
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
- For longer storage, freeze in layers separated by parchment paper for up to 3 months.
Tips & Variations
- Holiday Swirl: Use red and green candy melts for a festive color mix.
- Nut-Free Option: Swap peanuts for pretzels or Rice Krispies.
- Extra Fancy: Drizzle with melted dark chocolate or white chocolate after scooping.
- Gift Idea: Place hardened candies in holiday tins or jars for a homemade gift.
