Ingredients:

For the Cake:

1 box of chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake)

3 large eggs

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 cup water

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

For the Filling:

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

For the Caramel Glaze:

1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/4 cup heavy cream

For the Decoration:

1/4 cup chocolate chips

1/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

Prepare the Cake:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 15×10-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, water, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Prepare the Roll:

While the cake is baking, lay a clean kitchen towel on a flat surface and sprinkle it lightly with powdered sugar.

Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and immediately flip it onto the towel.

Peel off the parchment paper, then carefully roll the cake up with the towel while it’s still hot. Let it cool for about 20 minutes.

Prepare the Filling:

In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk together over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once smooth, remove from the heat and stir in the chopped pecans (if using).

Unroll the cooled cake and spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the entire surface.

Roll the cake back up without the towel, forming the roll.

Prepare the Caramel Glaze:

In a small saucepan, heat the caramel sauce and heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth and warmed through.

Decorate:

Drizzle the caramel glaze over the rolled cake.

Sprinkle with chocolate chips and chopped pecans for added texture and flavor.

Serve:
