“Cheesy Herb Quick Bread
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (thyme, chives, or parsley)
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, and herbs.
Add Cheese:
Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
Combine Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk buttermilk, melted butter, and egg until combined.
Mix & Pour:
Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir just until moistened (do not overmix). Pour into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake:
Bake for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool & Serve:
Let cool 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
