Cheesecake Egg Rolls with Caramel Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Egg Rolls:
8 egg roll wrappers
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
Oil for frying
For the Caramel Sauce:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation:
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Lay out egg roll wrappers, spoon a small amount of cheesecake mixture onto each, and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs.
Roll up the wrappers, sealing the edges with a little water.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, fry egg rolls until golden and crispy (about 3-4 minutes).
For the caramel sauce, melt brown sugar and butter in a pan, stir in cream, and simmer until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Drizzle caramel sauce over the egg rolls and serve warm. Enjoy!
