Chocolate Toffee Bark

This crunchy, buttery toffee topped with rich chocolate and chopped nuts is the perfect homemade treat for gifting or indulging. Every bite is a delicious mix of sweet, salty, crunchy, and smooth textures.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans or almonds (toasted if desired)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a heavy saucepan, melt the butter and sugar together over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer. This usually takes about 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and salt.
- Quickly pour the hot toffee onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula before it hardens.
- Let it sit for 1–2 minutes, then sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the surface.
- Allow the chocolate to soften, then spread it smoothly over the toffee.
- While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the chopped nuts evenly over the top and gently press them in.
- Let the bark cool completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator until firm.
- Once set, break it into pieces by hand or with a knife.
Storage
Store your chocolate toffee bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or in the refrigerator for longer freshness.
A simple yet irresistible treat — sweet, nutty, and buttery with the perfect crunch in every bite!
