Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Donuts
Ingredients:
– For the Donuts:
– 240 ml warm milk
– 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
– 25 g sugar (divided)
– 315 g all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 30 g unsalted butter, melted
– 1 large egg

– For the Filling:
– 225 g cream cheese, softened
– 60 g powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 120 g strawberry jam

– For the Glaze:
– 120 g powdered sugar
– 30 ml milk
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Prepare the Dough:
1. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar in warm milk. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
2. Add the flour, salt, melted butter, egg, and remaining sugar. Knead until smooth.
3. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

Form and Fry Donuts:
4. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to 1.25 cm (1/2 inch) thickness. Cut out donuts and let them rise again.
5. Fry in oil heated to 190°C (375°F) until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Make the Filling:
6. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in the strawberry jam.

Fill Donuts:
7. Once the donuts are cooled, make a hole in the side of each donut. Pipe in the strawberry cheesecake filling.

Glaze:
8. Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze. Drizzle over the filled donuts.

Tips:
– Ensure the yeast is properly activated for the fluffiest donuts.
– Cool the donuts completely before filling to avoid melting the cheesecake mixture.
