Sticky Honey Garlic Sausage Pasta Skillet 🍯🍝
A delightful one-pan meal featuring smoky sausage and pasta coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients:
For the Sausage & Pasta:
– 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced into coins (Andouille, kielbasa, or your favorite variety)
– 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, rigatoni, or penne all work)
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 2 cups chicken broth (low sodium recommended)
– 1/2 cup heavy cream

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
– 1/3 cup honey
– 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
– 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
– 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (to thicken)

Garnish:
– 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
– Chopped parsley or basil
– Extra red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions:
Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Sausage: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned and heated through, about 5-7 minutes.

Make the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Pour this mixture into the skillet with the sausage.

Combine and Thicken: Add the chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then add it to the skillet. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the Pasta: Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring it is well coated with the honey garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley or basil. Add extra red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm and enjoy this sticky, savory pasta dish!
