Beef Samosa (Tortilla Pockets)

Beef Samosa (Tortilla Pockets)
Savory Beef-Stuffed Tortilla Pockets with a Crunchy Twist
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
4 large tortillas
Oil for frying
Directions:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Season the beef with cumin, coriander, garam masala, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
Stir in the frozen peas and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat and fold in the chopped cilantro.
Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture onto one half of the tortilla, then fold the other half over to create a pocket.
Press the edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Carefully place the filled tortillas in the hot oil, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove the tortilla pockets from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
